AiMHi invites everyone to take part in “Community Inclusion Month”!
In the Province of British Columbia, October is recognized as Community Inclusion Month to celebrate inclusion and to raise awareness of people with developmental disabilities as fully participating members of our society!
This is the 20th year that Community Inclusion Month has been acknowledged by the province and AiMHi invites you to get involved and participate in celebrating people with diverse abilities and find opportunities to include all people in our community. Some of the public events you can take part in the City of Price George are below.
AiMHi Mr. PG Flag flying from Monday October 5th– Tuesday October 13th.
AiMHi Mr. PG Flag raising and Proclamation of “Community Inclusion Month” Tuesday October 6th at 12:15pm at City Hall.
AiMHi Night at the PG Cougars game at CN Centre- Wednesday October 21st at 7pm. We will give away tickets to people supported. AiMHi information table at the game and the AiMHi “Every Voice Choir” will sing National Anthem.
AiMHi Halloween Dance for Community Inclusion Month Friday October 30th for people supported in the AiMHi gym.
Next year in 2027, AiMHi will celebrate 70 years as non-for-profit Community Living organization in Prince George. We have grown to serve the communities of Mackenzie, Vanderhoof and Smithers. AiMHi employees nearly 600 people and supports 1000 people with developmental disabilities.
Together we can build our community to recognize and celebrate the value of all citizens!
