AiMHi marks “Community Living Month”!

AiMHi – Prince George’s Association for Community Living is marking October’s Community Living Month in Prince George in a big way! We will kickoff the month with an AiMHi Community Flag Raising and proclamation ceremony at Prince George City Hall this Monday October 6th at 10am. Everyone is welcome to join us for that event! As well, the AiMHi flag will be flying proudly at Mr. PG October 6th -14th to recognize the special month in Prince George.

AiMHIi is proud to host a 2-day Truth and Reconciliation conference with Dr. Dustin Louie October 16th and 17th in our gym and on line. This impactful 2 days of learning and sharing will leave you with a personalized actionable plan of decolonizing your work. This is open to everyone and we encourage you to register as soon as you can, as spots are filling up quickly. You can find out more and register at www.aimhi.ca.  Later in the month, AiMHi will have a one-time community Screening of the academy award nominated documentary SugarCane on Thursday October 23rd at 6:30pm. It will by donation and take place in the AiMHi gym. This is open to the public and we hope to see you there.

Other events include an AiMHi sponsored PG Cougars home game on October 22nd where our “Every Voice Choir” will sing the Canadian national anthem and we will be selling our “Cash for Inclusion” 50/50 Raffle tickets. The draw for the “Cash for Inclusion” raffle will wrap up “Community Living Month” on Monday October 27 at 11:45am. One lucky person will win “BIG” and walk away with thousand of dollars!
