Self-Advocate Peer Advisor
The Self-Advocate Peer Advisor coordinates, supports and develops AiMHi’s self-advocacy programs and assists with individual advocacy situations.
The Self-Advocate Peer Advisor:
- Provides support to the Prince George Self-Advocacy Caucus
- Assists in the development of self-advocacy materials, i.e. plain language
- Assists with bringing self-advocates together and provides support to AiMHi members and others in their self-advocacy work
- Assists with the development and delivery of self-advocacy workshops
- Assists with appointments of self-advocates to internal/external committees, groups and functions
- Gathers and shares information on self-advocacy with interested individuals
- Provides variety of information monthly on Quality Assurance Information Board in the AiMHi main office.
