Plans and carries out personalized programs for people with developmental disAbilities to
assist them to obtain and maintain gainful employment. This position is required to work in
a variety of different environments. Requires the ability to function independently and work
a flexible schedule. Direct delivery of program activities may require a moderate level of
physical fitness. A high level of motivation is required to effectively deliver programs to a
variety of people.
• Advocate for and assists people to recognize and exercise their rights.
• Conduct assessments of strengths and needs and research history of person’s Vocational Plans.
• Provide support, encouragement, and skill development.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
• Provide liaison with other professionals and community agencies and develops a positive awareness in the community.
• Encourage people to identify and access programs and/or community resources.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and attend regular staff meetings
• Facilitates employment contact within the community that reflects the person’s employment profile.
• Assesses and analyzes available jobs and identifies specific tasks within the job
• Matches employment with person’s abilities.
• Coaches people in their employment as required.
• Develops, monitors, and evaluates written plans from identified needs and goal.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge and information of employment and job search trends and initiatives.

Full Time Flex Schedule Class 5DL required
We are currently hiring a Manager to provide leadership in supporting people with developmental disabilities and their families. The Manager is accountable for coordinating and monitoring service delivery to people supported by AiMHi. We are seeking an energetic leader with an ability to function independently while managing multiple projects with deadlines.Requirements: A university degree or diploma in social services related field, a developmental disabilities certificate or demonstrated competency based on a combination of education experience; and a valid BC Driver’s license is required. The successful applicant will have a BC Class 4 Driver’s license or ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire. Experience with disabilities, knowledge of conflict resolution/crisis intervention experience and training Working a flexible schedule including days, evenings and some weekend work is required.
